8 Simple Tips To Get Back Your Motivation...
When
your weight loss is stalling, or if you get bored of the foods, giving up and going
back to old habits may cross your mind. It can be upsetting if you believe you
are eating perfectly and still not losing or losing too slowly. You may think,
“Well, I may as well eat whatever I want since I can’t lose anyway.” You think Cookies,
doughnuts, bread, pasta and ice cream will make you happy again. The truth is
these foods will not make you happy. They are SAD CRAP (Standard American Diet
- Carbs, Refined, Artificial or processed). Do you know what happens when you
eat Sad Crap? Your blood sugar spikes (triglycerides). Your bad cholesterol
spikes. Your good cholesterol dips. You gain weight. Your clothes are tight. Your
energy levels plummet. Your body feels bloated and sluggish.
You
have lost your motivation, but you need to get it back. You feel great when you
are motivated and eating well. You feel strong, empowered and energetic. You
look radiant, beaming and healthy. You can’t wait to tell everyone how great
you feel and how they can feel great too! Use these tips to get back your
motivation:
Tip
#1: Cut out the junk food and eat clean. You’ll feel great. Inside and Out.
Tip
#2: Change it up and add variety to your menu plan so you don’t get bored.
Tip
#3: Surround yourself with positive influences such as books, magazines, shows,
and online sources to help encourage good health, exercise and nutrition.
Tip
#4: Have an accountability partner.... a friend, spouse, family member, a coach
who will help you get back on the path when you stray.
Tip
#5: Keep a journal. Remind yourself why you’re doing this. Remember your
“Powerful Why”. Write notes to yourself to
remind you of how foods affect you. Such as, “You can’t eat bread. It makes you
bloated and constipated for days!”
Tip #6: Plan ahead to save time and avoid temptation. If you have emergency snacks and bottled water, you won’t ever have to make a trip through a drive-through.
Tip
#7: Set realistic goals. Make sure your goal is something you can reasonably achieve
and set a length of time that it can be achieved in.
Tip
#8: Stay positive. Don’t be hard on yourself if you mess up. Speak to yourself
as you would a loved one with kindness and forgiveness.
